Predictably, with Trump in charge, things in the USA are grim. It's not much better here with Labour making cuts to PIP which helps disabled people survive.

Went for a lovely and healing walk by the river with my friend
Mike. Great day out and a well deserved pint in Moulton.

Well, I'm supposed to be keeping this up to date, and I'm not doing a very good job so far. Today, Sunday, I went to visit my friend Peter who had a serious accident. He fell off a cliff. He was very lucky. No really serious injuries. Good to see him
recovering.

Great day out in Chester with Mike. We visited our favourite pub, The Albion, for lunch.

Great to see a crocus on the lawn. Spring is springing!

2 March 2025

A quiet Sunday today. I did a bit of shopping and spent some time thinking about the state of the world. Not a good idea? Probably not, so I buried myself in the excellent new book by one of my favourite authors, Jonathan Coe.

In case anyone is wondering, I'm still alive, and planning to revive this blog. I'll start with a coupe of recent photos. Sadly, our lovely cat Rio died in September. We had, had him for 18 years 😢.

We adopted a rescue cat called Kiri, the first female cat we've ever had. She is a real menace.

Kiri cat.

Today, like many millions of others, I'm still thinking about the crazy events of yesterday in the White House where Trump and Vance bullied Zelenskyy. Of course, I've known that Trump was a dangerous criminal psycho for a long time, but that public display of bullying takes the diplomatic biscuit. Who knows what the consequences will be.

Today I went out for a wonderful walk by the River Weaver with my friend Nigel. It was a beautiful day and we had a great chat.
