The big news today is the energy crisis. Bills are set to rise by 54% this year - that's an average of about £700 per household. Sunak has announced a £350 rebate - £200 of your bill paid by the government and £150 off council tax. The £250 will have to be repaid over the next four years.

All this from a government which recently wrote off £8.4 billion that it spent on rubbish PPE and £4.3 billion on covid loan fraud!
