My uncle James Thorp fought in WW2, in one of the most difficult theatres of the war, the Baltic convoys. He was a great bloke with a wonderful sense of humour. Here is a photo of the medal he was awarded posthumously.

Gardening continues apace and the lawn has never been so well-trimmed. Not much to report as there is little change or improvement in the situation.
