Today we took the lakeside path in the opposite direction in a circular walk to Torver. Much of the walk is through pleasant woodland and there were plenty of fungi on show. I can recommend this walk even if some of it is on roads (we missed part of the footpath). Two-thirds of the way round you encounter the excellent Wilsons Arms in Torver.
